Terrible Two's

Today Drew's temper tantrums reached an all time high. I was picking him up from preschool and he wanted to stay and play with the train. So I let him play with it for a few minutes then gave him the standard 'one minute' warning that usually works like a charm. This time it did not work and he threw himself to the floor saying he wanted to stay and play with the train. I gave him the choice of walking towards the door with me or I could carry him. The little stinker wouldn't get up so I ended up carrying him out of preschool screaming and kicking with all eyes on us, mean mom that I am. The tantrum continued in the car for 10 more minutes - I've never heard him so mad. I hope this heightened temper isn't a sign of what's to come...

I feel your pain. There's nothing like the screaming two year old to attract attention to you. If it makes you feel any better, all of the parents with older kiddos were thinking, "I'm so glad we're past this!"
